Pinspired: spray painted pumpkin with fabric flowers

I was looking up Fall- and Halloween decor ideas on Pinterest, when I discovered this awesome tutorial. I am doing a white and aqua/turquoise color scheme (I know, not your traditional Halloween colors, but they match my colorful living room craziness best) so I was excited to try this one. I used things I still had laying around the house and the only thing I bought was a fake pumpkin at the local Euro store. I glued on the wooden letters, spray painted the whole thing and added the fabric rosettes and twine in the end. Here's my creation:
I hope you like it, it is definitely a fun, affordable and easy project.

My bootsock steal!

I am obsessed with boots. Lately, I have seen lots of pins on Pinterest that involved stylish bootsocks. You can either buy them handmade on Etsy or simply make them yourself from an old sweater, as shown in this awesome tutorial. I got lucky today and found a pair of knee high socks in the Euro section of a our local supermarket. I might go through hubbies old winter sweaters later though and see what I can find. Here are some examples from Pinterst:
And here's my steal of the day:

Pinspired: antique nightstand that was suppposed to become a dog bed and ended up being a storage cubby

Okay, here's what happened: I was looking around on Pinterest when I found this awesome tutorial on how to transform an old nightstand into a pet bed. I absolutely loved the idea and decided to make one for my little IG, Hazel. I still had this nightstand sitting around that we're not using, so I thought it would be perfect for the project:
When I was done, I realized that as cute as it might look, Miss Hazel rather sticks to hanging out on the couch or sneaking into our bed at night. So I needed another use for it. I decided that it would look awesome in Noah's room. He just started first grade and we got him a new IKEA desk, which is very simple and small enough not to clutter up his room. It has no storage though, for books, utensils and whatsoever, so a storage cubby would be great. The perfect job for my transformed nightstand. And here is what it looks like:

Pinspired: Ruffle dress and belted cardigan

I love the country chic vibe of this look. You could even add some stylish cowgirl boots. This is the original Pin:
And here's my version. I used the boots, tights and belt I already had:
Get the look: Cardigan by Vero Moda, I ordered mine here:
Dress by myMo, also from here:
I hope you like this as much as I do. A Perfect way to wear your summer dresses into the Fall season :)

Happy Anniversary darling, here are your rubber boots!

Yesterday was our six year wedding Anniversary. We are not the most romantic kind of couple, so when it comes to gifting we are rather practical. These two furry friends, along with the two -legged kids of the family are the reason I needed a pair of sturdy and comfy, yet stylish rubber boots:
I did some research and decided to go with Hunter boots. A British company that makes top of the line Wellington boots that are comfy yet stylish. Here are some outfit combos I found on Pinterest:
And here are mine, in chocolate brown :). Bring it on, rain!

Oh, the possibilities!

The weather has finally gotten a bit colder, and I am beginning to start looking up decorating and craft ideas for my favorite season. I am planning to make a display table and got super lucky finding this gorgeous antique half moon table from England on an online yard sale site.
I would like to paint it in a shabby chic style, maybe a sage or light turquoise? Like this as seen on Pinterest:
Or this:
I created a board with fall decor- and craft ideas that match the color scheme. Can't wait to get started!

Pinspired!

One of my favorite inspirational sources is Pinterest. I love browsing that virtual pin board to get ideas on how to create cute outfits. Then I start looking for similar pieces in my closet and price range ;). So much fun! Here is one of my latest Pinterest inspired looks:

And here is the pin that inspired me:
The outfit ended up costing me about $80, I already had the boots though. I also like using Pinterest to decorate my home. Like the plate arrangement in my dining room:

Inspired by this and many more plate related pins:
Or the vintage suitcase table I always wanted to make ...

Inspired by this one:
As you can see, the possibilities are endless! The world is full of inspiration, get creative!

Fall is here!

I was browsing the net for some elegant Fall clothes including a pencil skirt, as I stumbled across this cute outfit by Ruche.
Isn't it just adorable? I think I will get these boots from URBANOG.COM to complete the look...
Perfect!
